I never leave reviews but I feel I need to for this place.We wanted to book somewhere that I could fish and where we could also go out for the day if we wanted.This place offered both so we booked!First of all, being it’s this time of year ( end of October ) we weren’t expecting the full bells and whistles as it’s near the end of the season but this place offered it all.We arrived mid week and driving through the gates we were greeted by the wonderful Tracy who then showed us to our pitch.The pitch was a very good size offering hard standing with grass for our awning.After setting up we walked around the site and were quite literally blown away with how tidy and well kept it all was!Plenty of toilets and showers on offer.We popped into the barn where you can have a drink and eat ( Friday,Saturday and Sunday ) again being as it’s near the end of the season we didn’t expect it to be open at all.In there I could purchase my day ticket but also have a chat with Tracy and Nigel where they mentioned that on the Saturday they had a musician on with a full 3 course dinner for £30 per adult and £10 for a child. We booked and were definitely not disappointed!Food was exceptional and the musician was brilliant.Steve who works behind the bar and also looks after the grounds told me some useful tips for fishing which came in handy when I managed to land a beautiful carp!We loved it so much on Saturday that we also booked Sunday lunch and I have to say, if I’m ever on death row and get a last meal, I’ll be getting it from there. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!All the staff there are so unbelievably friendly and welcoming we felt like part of a community straight away.When talking to the team and the plans they have going forward for the site we are already planning our next trip in the new year.Tracy, Nigel, Steve , Julie and the whole team…. Lawns and Lakes is a beautiful site and we have enjoyed a few days at the end of October. We hope to visit again very soon- Ceri Lowton
